I feels for ya man. I had a car broken into as well, and they stole 100's of my CD's, and the radio even with the face off, no less.

That sucks Joest. There is nothing that pisses me off more, than some pos who decides that they can go around breaking into peoples cars/homes, taking personal property that they have no right to. Well maybe the cops who all but completely ignore its happenings, because there's no pay off for them: that pisses me off just as much if not more.
There is a street that I used to live on (some friends still do). Everyone on the street has had either a home invasion or car break in. My one friend has had both happen. It was daylight one time and they chased the guy out of their home! Daylight! This is actually a nice suburban area too. Why the break ins? Projects.
The government decided to put housing projects near by. So as I grew up in the area; I watched it decline and become a mixture of upper middle class, middle class and meth heads. Unfortunate that this continues to happen. The police that respond say there's nothing they can do, but then they turn around and sit on their a**, waiting in their car to give tickets to people going 30 or so in a 25. If they focused even 10% of their energy on catching thieves, the problem would be solved, but again there's no pay off for them, so they'll never do it.
